Nagarjuna is very unique in choosing the scripts and he has climbed the steps of stardom only due to his perfect choice of movies. But, there are few films which were rejected by him and they were all blockbusters. We have compiled Six such films which got rejected by Nagarjuna.

Nagarjuna was also told the story of Mani Ratnam’s classic blockbuster. The film starred Rajnikanth and Mammootty. However, Nagarjuna was Mani Ratnam’s first choice for the role played by Mammootty.

3) Ponniyin Selvan

Mani Ratnam thought of Nagarjuna as the hero in most of his movies after Geethanjali. Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna were to be seen sharing the screen in the film. However, because of unavoidable reasons, the film was not made. Mani Ratnam is now doing the same story under the name Ponniyin Selvan

4) Badri

Puri Jagannadh made his first film starring Pawan Kalyan as the hero. But before Pawan Kalyan, Puri narrated the story to Nagarjuna. Puri Jagannadh had worked with Nagarjuna as an assistant director before. However, Puri and Nagarjuna later collaborated on films such as Super and Shivamani.

5) Kalisundam Raa

This is the 2000 blockbuster that slipped out of Nagarjuna’s hands because he didn’t find the story compelling. Director Udayasankar told a story similar to that of Nagarjuna, who was already making family drama films. However, Nagarjuna found the story ordinary and similar to his previous film Ramudochadu.

6) Mounaragam

Nagarjuna had to give up a classic film early in his career. The film was written and directed by Mani Ratnam. However, Nagarjuna and Mani Ratnam collaborated on Geethanjali in 1989, which is considered a cult hit in Telugu cinema.
